Visit to Thirsk Auction Mart
20th November 2006
This weeks meeting was a tour of the new Thirsk Auction Mart. Thanks to Colin for showing us round.
Next weeks meeting is a Ghost Walk around Kiplin Hall, you will need a torch and it will cost around £5, meet in the Applegarth Car Park at 6:40pm.
Can everyone going to the christmas meal give thier menus to Joanne on monday, and hand in thier Panto ticket money to Paul Laverick or Robbie. Well done to everyone in the Cledales Public Speaking Competition, we came 1st overall.
Visit to Lewis & Cooper

This weeks meeting was a visit to Lewis & Cooper. Thank you to Mr Howard and the team who gave us a talk on the history of the Company and showed us round the Northallerton store.
Bonfire Night
6th November 2006
This years bonfire night was held at the Lavericks with lots of fireworks and sparklers. Check out the pictures.

Ice Skating
1st November 2006
This weeks meeting was a trip Ice Skating at Billingham, and evening enjoyed by all, except Paul who had a "bad" foot.
Quiz Night
2nd October 2006
32 members turned up to a quiz night organised by Mark, Paul and Howard. Well done to the winning team. Anyone wanting tickets to the York Panto should let Joanne know ASAP.

Annual Duck Race
5th June 2006
This weeks meeting was the club's Annual Duck Race at Sheepwash. Thank you to everyone who organised the night and to those who came to support there duck and to everyone who supported the club by buying a duck. Thank you to Mr & Mrs M Laverick for providing and hosting the supper afterwards.
Next weeks meeting is Sandcastle building with Ingleby Cross. Meeting in the Applegarth at 6:45pm.
Visit to Herbs Unlimited

This weeks meeting was a visit to Herbs Unlimeted at Sandhutton. Thank you to the manager for showing us round and giving us a very interesting talk on on herbs.
Visit to Ripon Land Rover
6th February 2006

This week we visted Ripon Land Rover for a tour of the showroom and garage followed by a ride around the rough terrain course in a Discovery and Range Rover Sport. Thanks to the staff at Ripon and especially Mike who demostrated driving backwards very fast uphill. Visit his friends site if you want to see what he gets up to at weekends.
Next week's meeting is a trip to Brompton Pantomime.
Ba Ba Black Sheep

This weeks meeting was a breeding sheep judging practice at North Lowfeilds Farm. Results: 1 Lucy -128; 2 Paul -124; 3 James B -123. Thank you to the Peacock family for being hosts to the practice and providing a delicious supper. and to Ed Bulman and Cecil Hutchinson for been the judges. Can all members please let Kathryn know if they want to go to the inter club night we have been invited to by Lower Wensleydale on Monday 20th February.
Next weeks meeting is a visit to Ripon Land Rover meet in the Applegarth at 7pm or 7:30 at Ripon Land Rover.
Summer Program and Games

This weeks meeting started off by collecting suggestions for the summer program. We are looking forwards to some interesting activates we followed this with an enjoyable games evening. Thank you to all those who helped in any way with the coffee morning this effort raised £250.00.

Monday's meeting was a visit to Northallerton Police Station where we had a guided tour of the custody suite and cells by the officers on duty. Unfortunately Jim escaped.
Thank you to all those who helped at the tea and cake stall in the Town Hall on Saturday.
At next weeks meeting we will be discussing the summer programme followed by a games night.
The Lad Aladdin

This week members thoroughly enjoyed the visit to York Panto to see "The Lad Aladdin". Berwick Kaler was on top form as the unflappable Widow Twankey. They tell you "Expect the unexpected" but nobody expeced the celebraty guest appearences at the start of the show.
Quiz Night
2nd January 2005
For the first meeting of the new year, members enjoyed a Quiz devised by Joanne, Paul and Howard. Well done to all those who took part and to the winning team - "What the Chuff".
Can all members bring 5 items excluding bric a brac (cakes, books, tombola prizes) for the Coffee morning 14th January. Any members wanting to visit custody suit on 16th January need to give their names to Joanne on or before Monday.
Next weeks meeting is trip to York Theatre Royal to see "The Lad Aladdin". Members needing a lift meet in the Applegarth at 6pm. |
